Thanks to this cold front, we have had the pleasure to see a lot of people come in and enjoy a nice French meal: onion soup and our signature grilled rib eye have been the favorites.
Nevertheless our Crepe Cafe, now open since 2 months, start to attract new patrons looking for a healthy and inexpensive lunch or dinner. Check out our savory and sweet crepe menu on our website CafedeParisColumbia.com
Here are the latest events scheduled at Cafe de Paris for the next 3 weeks.
Our First Cooking class:
Is scheduled for Saturday February, 16th at 9 AM.
We will welcome you with Croissants, French pastries, coffee or tea: at 9.30 AM Marc will take you back to the kitchen to have you prepare a 3 course meal that we will enjoy together when we sit down for lunch. During the lunch, I will introduce you to 2 wines to pair the food.
The cost per person is $65 plus tax.
February's gourmet wine dinner
My friend Chef Camille's last gourmet dinner will be held on Thursday, February 8th around 6.45 PM. He is leaving the States on Feb 15th and I wanted to have you try his specialties once more before you go and visit him in Canada where he would like to settle down.
My friend Antoine who imports and distribute French wines will select 3 spectacular wines for this occasion and will be there also to talk about them.
It will therefore be a very nice going away party for Antoine. Here is his menu:

Bonjour,
Exposing our young adults to different cultures and languages for a brief moment or a lifetime provides them the power of knowledge.
As a native Frenchman, I opened an authentic French Country Bistro, Café de Paris, in Columbia, Maryland.
I am excited about sharing the French culture to the children of the communities in which I live and work. My staff and I have developed French immersion programs that are designed to enhance and promote the French experience to our young adults.
A “Taste of France” is comprised of a variety of school programs designed to bring a cultural awareness to children and their families. Our 1950’s style French Bistro is proud to host the following activities:
Our Breakfast Programs are designed with the Little Tots in mind.
- “Breakfast Crepe Cooking” is a short program that introduces them to French cooking by participating in the making of crepes while enjoying a glass of hot chocolate.
- “Breakfast in Paris” The children will enjoy a plain or chocolate croissant in our café deli while learning about the French culture over a cup of hot chocolate or tea.
- “Take a Trip to France” This lunch program is perfect for the young adults to enjoy a French cuisine, prepared especially for them. This 1- ½ hour program provides them the opportunity to experience the French culture through food, music and bilingual conversation (French/English) with Erik.
- “It’s French Tonight!” This program provides the opportunity for the students and their families to share the French Bistro experience while dining on a 3 course Prix-fixed menu at a 40% discount.
We look forward to hosting your “Taste of France” event.
